True, but among the lolicon community I belong to, lolicon refers to flat/small-chested girls and the people who like them. Pettanko might be a more accurate word, but it's not as commonly used.
EDIT: I should also point out that this only applies to fictional characters.
Don't worry, a lot of people don't know the full meaning.

Sorry for the late response, I lost this thread among the other active topics we've had lately. Having watched this show, there is a HUGE influence of loli in it. However I think it's meant to be humorous and not creepy. I'll just say, the ending theme is like a loli-lover's wet dream xD...... It disturbs me so much, but that just isn't my sort of thing so I won't go and rant or whine about it beyond this, it fits in context with the show when you think about it. The main character Adam, actually is a bit of a loli fan himself, their is a group belonging to the enemy faction called the "pretty girl squad" which is basically a bunch of loli girls wearing school clothes. The show itself is hilarious, brimming with action, and is generally just a very very enjoyable romp parodying the ins and outs of the shounen genre. This show has something for just about everyone.

That's ok, it's not a subject most people want to think about. Looking at that picture, I'd say that the two blue-haired girls definately arn't loli. The other three might be, it's hard to see from their poses.
Since this might be a) unpleasent for others and b) off-topic, I just want to say that if you or anyone else wants a serious, open discussion, or to ask questions, feel free to PM me.

loli refers to infant to preteen aged girls right? i don't see any ether. anyway, dagon, is this in ENGDUB?
Right now it's only available subbed, not sure if has been picked up yet, it's still relatively new. Loli is short for lolicon. In Japan, the term describes an attraction to young girls, or an individual with such an attraction.
damns. so in otherwords, its the dressed up Japanese version to pedophiles.

Well, depending on the definition you're using, yes it could be considered that. Kamiki mentioned that there are other definitions (kind of like how Otaku can be negative in Japan and in America it means something a bit different).

As far as I know, Otaku is always negative. I've never heard it used in a positive sense. But when I started learning about the anime/mange community, it meant 'fan of Japanese stuff'.
Sadly, you're both right. The word lolicon has a specific meaning amongst western fans, but it Japan it does basically mean pedo. I've often thought that if a different word had been used - pettanko, see above - had been used, it'd be better for everyone.
