Oh my God, Crump. I'm so sorry to hear that. Dude... oh man... this is SO worth being emu. God only knows what I'd do if my best friend died. It's good that the family doesn't wanna lose touch though, you two must have been close. I'm not very religious, but your friend will have a prayer from me tonight.
Also, I have a message from Addy:

I'm so sorry about your friend Crumpets. v_v *hugs* I know that it will really hurt for a while, so those of you that knew him well need to stick tight together. I'll pray that you'll all find peace soon, and your friend too, in the next life. It's not likely that he'll call your phone, but he is probably closer to you right now than you might think.

Thanks guys, him and I used to have "grandpa" talks all night (he called me grandpa and got a lot of people to do it too) and in those talks we brought up religion a lot.
I know he's not christian, but sometimes it felt like he believed in a higher power. I'm atheist and it doesn't comfort very much. But he was suffering, in a way, yeah, I'd say it was. Either way...
The few of us that were closest (this man made friends with EVERYONE, though some unsavory) but we're getting drunk with his dad soon. His dad said "no frowns, sorrows, or anything but giddy laughing and poking fun. It's going to be happy, we'll make fun of him, and with him." Also told me he'd hit or kick any sad-goers. (Nam vet and retired cop).
He's still on my speed dial. Waiting for him to call at midnight so we can sit out front on the porch, me smoking my wood pipe with cherry tobacco, talking about everything in our grandpa talks, till dawn. Then finding a random adventure, or little toy car to build, or driving around the city making fun of minorities (Southern Arizona, kinda have to, to cope with the population). Playing guitar, he could make up a song, and every time would bust out "Ian is GaaAAyYYYY" completely unfitting in the song or melody. He was actually good, couple of bands, and I was the one who started him with bass. Might be teaching his dad's girlfriend soon.
So much, but all that really matters is that he's gone. Time to mourn, and look to the others. Friends are more important than ever now.
Which is why I appreciate all of you on here. Haven't been on much, but I do think of you guys. Even though we rarely talked about Tenchi. So thanks, all of you.
Tell Addy thanks, and I miss her. bkev, you're wonderful, sorry to hear about your dependency issues of the internet, I was on that road until I discovered a Sega emulator with 800 games in 800mB. Then ePSXe which is consuming my life.
MJ. Nice to talk to you again. That gif of yours seems to be imprinted in my mind making me come back lately.
Someone tell comix I said Hi. Whoever keeps in contact.
My facebook, if anyone is interested, I don't think I'll be back very much any time soon.
Grandpa talks... haha, you're starting to sound like my dad. He was always the responsible one in his group, which is probably why I can't have any fun. Sounds like he was a fun guy, and it's a real shame for him to go. Still, he'd want everyone to be happy in remembering him, his dad's right.
Have fun, and see ya round - whether here or facebook. (Comix has one as well, but she doesn't add non-IRL people; I on the other hand am more willing).

There's this expression which says that life sucks and then you die. They forgot to mention how the life sucks part automatically applies to anyone that's close to someone that dies. Sadly, I don't have Facebook and I haven't used my Myspace in months, so keeping in touch there is probably not gonna happen. But the important thing is that you take whatever time you need to grieve your loss and then go on to live your life as best you can, because this life is fleeting and your friend wouldn't appreciate being swiftly forgotten, but not would he want you to let the time you have waste away either.
Anyway, now that my attempt at philosophical advice for the day is out of the way… all that's left to say is my condolences, man, do what you gotta do, hope to catch you at a better time one of these days, don't fear failure, and may your friend rest in peace in a heaven with one love.

Thanks you two. Still grieving, and finding it harder to cope. Still have a few close friends around, but this made me ultra reclusive.
Something that bothers me though, a lot of his "friends" (generally people he saw once in a while, quite popular) refer to him in the past tense. Makes me want to hurt someone when they do that. It's awful and obnoxious. Just because he's not around doesn't mean he changed for good. It's like a long vacation.
Either way, good to see some familiar aliases and banners!

Normally I don't comment on spam I remove, but the timing was just so ironic.
