I've been looking into upgrading the version of software that Tenchiboard runs on. Hopefully it will reduce or even prevent the spambots from coming in.

We'll also have access to lots of new features. Such as subforums which I'm really looking forward to.

Anway, I just wanted to let you all know that if you drop by over the next few days (I'll probably do after Easter) and the board's not up, there's no problem, I'm just upgrading.

Some things may look unusual such as colors, images, sidebar etc during the process. My first priority is to get the board functioning then I'll worry about the appearance.

As many of you have noticed the board upgrade was successful. I hope the update process didn't cause anybody not to be able to visit. I tried to do the whole thing after midnight est so it would effect as few people as possible.

It appears that all posts were successfully brought over from the old database. You may need to make some changes to your profile IE allowing html etc.

Now the process begins of getting the colors correct etc. Thanks for your patience during this process.

Meh. So far, not impressed. Keep in mind I kinda hate change, but really - having the avatar spot on the right? Also, o_O my avatar became huge.

Its good to see your post. I'm having problems getting my sig to show correctly. Did you have to make any changes?

My goal is to get the board to look and feel like it did before. With a few enhancements of course. The biggest reason for the conversion for me was the increased security.

As for the avatar on the right.... Yeah I prefer it on the left too. I'll try to see if that's an option. Seems like they woudn't force that to happen.

The thing with my signature is that I didn't use HTML tags, I used BBCode. So, if you switch to that, it should be fine. Least, I *think* it's called BBCode; I'm thinking of the [img] tags and etc.

I clicked on my bookmark and had to do a double take :p The page did load a lot faster though.

Perhaps we could add a quickreply function? I'm sure v3 has one, and it would be rather convenient.

I'm not sure what options are available right now yet. There's a lot of new options.

I believe there is a mod to allow centering using [center][/center] If you get a chance could you install it? I really like having my signature centered. It's not a big deal but it would be nice.

I can isntall that for you if you like. Do you know where I can find the mod itself?

Yeah, thats much better. Now I just have to draw something cool to use on my list so it doesn't look so plain.

That's great that it worked. I'm still searching for html. They must allow it in sigs. If not, maybe it was a security thing.

I have another request, is there a setting that will make it go right to what you just posted after you submit instead of having to choose whether to do that or go back to the main forum. I always find that annoying and I didn't see anything that I could do with my personal settings.

Oh, and the HTML thing might just be because of changing web standards and not having to deal with outdated code.
